“An incredible and fascinating insight into their world and their experience of ‘performing under pressure’ translated powerfully into the challenges we face in our own business world.”
The Challenge
In high-risk, high-pressure environments, performance can’t rely on technical skill alone. When pressure rises, communication falters, decision quality drops, and teams are at risk of losing awareness of what’s going on around them - often without realising until it’s too late.
Why This Matters
When performance under pressure is non-negotiable, small breakdowns compound quickly. Missed cues go unchallenged. Degraded decisions get locked in. Briefings are rushed, debriefs are skipped, and the same issues repeat.
Most leadership and communication programmes don’t address this reality. They sit outside the system - disconnected from the conditions teams face when it matters most.
The Solution
On A Mission exists for these moments.
Founded by former fighter jet crew Rosie and Helen, On A Mission combines front-line experience, industry expertise, and academic knowledge to deliver a rare, systems-level understanding of performance under pressure.
Drawing on experience from one of the most demanding operational environments on earth, we help high-performing teams:
We don’t add process for the sake of it. We build the capabilities that determine outcomes in high-risk, high-pressure environments - so teams don’t just cope under pressure, they perform when it matters most.
Whether in boardrooms, conference halls, or classrooms, Rosie and Helen bring their unique operational experience and expertise to life through engaging keynotes and workshops, sharing actionable insights that teams can apply immediately to optimise performance.
Our Story
Helen and Rosie first met in 2004 at RAF Leeming, a defining moment that would shape both their careers. At the time, Rosie was being selected for the Tornado fighter jet, and the two later went on to serve together on the same front-line squadron, operating on Quick Reaction Alert.
Since then, Helen and Rosie have remained close friends and trusted colleagues. From flying fast jets to navigating career transitions, motherhood, and life beyond the RAF, they have progressed through each chapter side by side. Their partnership, formed in one of the most demanding environments imaginable, underpins the work they do today.
Using their specialist military expertise combined with industry and academic experience in human performance, Rosie and Helen joined forces to launch On A Mission. The platform was created to translate hard-won operational insight into practical impact, helping organisations perform at their best - particularly when pressure is high and judgement matters most.
As mothers to young daughters, Helen and Rosie are also passionate about inspiring future generations to pursue ambitious goals with confidence and purpose.
Today, through impactful keynote speaking, talks, and training, they work with organisations across high-risk and high-performance sectors to strengthen communication, improve decision quality, and drive meaningful, lasting change.
Helen and Rosie are available for individual engagements or can be booked together for maximum impact.
